Why Bhutan.

Nestled in the heart of the Himalayas, the Kingdom of Bhutan is a truly unique country, renowned for prioritizing GNH—Gross National Happiness—over GDP as a measure of progress.

Despite its small size and population of around one million, Bhutan is one of the world’s most sustainability-focused nations. Its constitution mandates that at least 60% of the country remains forested indefinitely; currently, around 80% is forested, compared to roughly 34% in the US and only 12% in the UK. Bhutan's commitment to sustainability extends further, with over 50% of its land designated as protected national parks and wilderness areas. At the 2010 Copenhagen Summit, Bhutan pledged to remain a net carbon sink and aims for all its agriculture to be 100% organic, aligning with its GNH-driven mission to support both sustainable resources and the well-being of its people.

Why Bhutan? We believe Bhutan is setting a global example of a sustainable economy that respects both nature and its citizens. We’re honored to be a small part of that journey.
