Shilajit Research.
In the modern day, many of us in the western world look to clinical studies to prove or disprove the efficacy and safety of drugs and supplements, and although there are a whole host of western-medicine trained practitioners who have conducted clinical studies on Shilajit, there is no single publication that draws all of these findings and research together.
In general, research has shown that Shilajit can assist with several chronic and even some acute conditions (possibly due to its high concentration of fulvic & humic acids). We’re not trained medical professionals here at Premium Bhutan though, so we can only point to our own experiences and those of our customers, as well as to publications from globally-respected medical journals, to highlight some of the beneficial effects that Shilajit has been shown to have.
Most of the links below can be found on the US governmental National Institute of Health’s database, with studies on many more benefits to be found in various medical journals - both traditional & western. We’ve just included those we feel are the most relevant, and where we have read the accompanying supporting research ourselves!
Note: In line with most clinical research done today, much of the pre-clinical research is carried out on animals. Please note that although we in no way condone or support animal research, findings in some of the articles included below have been based on animal research.
